My 2 page comic for Intro to Sequential class, focusing on emotion expressed through pose with emphasis on the defined silhouette. With the exception of a few tangents, I think this turned out pretty good. Though it seemed more exaggerated up close, and larger than when I actually resized it down; It lost definition on the brow and snout and hands, I think.
===============Edit=============== Thank you so much for the DD! I really appreciate everyone who's commented/fav'd my work. I feel so unworthy OnO or at least pressured to do a better job next time! Thank you for the support, the appreciation, and for making my day all the more special Daily DeviationGiven 2007-09-23Comic- Silhouetted Nightmare by =fyuvix is a comic done entirely with silhouettes. This cant have been easy, and the result shows a truly animated character easily identified by strong facial features even in silhouette. (Suggested by ~Saetje and Featured by `misskittyoooo) CommentsI laughed so hard at this, its so clever and cute and BEAUTIFUL, oh snap. Did you ink it like that for class, or just a quick photoshop thing afterwards? You choice of making the sillhouette white inside instead of black was just. Wow. Very smart. It fits his attire and the general setting of the comic too, because the white on black just feels more...fancy yet old fashioned? Classy? Maybe thats just me.
I also like the way you had things falling off the camera, it leaves a little more to the imagination; pretty much the very last panel of each page. I think my favorite panels are: the middle one on the bottom of the first page, when he's marching off to maim something, and the first panel on the bottom 2nd page when he's just standing there with a bone in his mouth. XD Great job, I'm sure Duncan thought it was stellar! -- i've heard it too many times to ignore it there's something that i'm supposed to be XDD HAHA Thanks, Robin! I appreciate the feedback!! XD Ja, it was photoshopped instead of inked, because it would have taken me a looong time to do all that black by hand, and I was afraid I'd end up messing something up. XD And ja, white on black seemed the most reasonable since it was at night; otherwise it would hve looked like the sun, so I'm glad you liked my choice! Thankye for the comment! Duncan didn't say much... or anything, actually XD But I'm sure he'll leave some sort of feedback on the tracing paper. XD Thanks again!
-- Do you like greasers? Retro 50s? Rats with ridiculously large hair? If so, click here! lol @ the last panel. XD I love the first panel too, you really captured the 'walking' pose down. Unlike me. Drawing people walking is damn hard! I really can't find anything to improve on in this, it reads very well and I understand everything perfectly. ^^
...I wish I got to do this in Intro. >< Damn. -- [link] Ja, but you guys got to do cool stuff; Ours are almost too easy; We didnt have to ink it if we didnt want to; and we did our How To comic in one page, one hour sorta thing. I don't know XD Duncan's aiight, but he doesn't give harsh enough crits; at least not during critique; I don't know what he writes on the tracing paper
