--This is an old submission... I am just bringing it from my scraps section---

^^; Aye, this be my costume I have been slaving over for a few weeks. Its completely hand sewn (save the sleeves, pants, and tails) and made out of 1/2" foam. No patterns used, completely made up. It was hard work, and i wish i couldve made the tails move. There were several plans for it, but they all fell apart last second. :( Welp, there you have it ^^; Its only my second costume so go easy.

That's still very good for a second costume. I am going to make a Tails Doll costume North Carolina's Animazement next year. What was the material you used over the foam and how did you make the shoes and gloves?

Thanks! Oh boy this is an old costume. Let's see, I used crushed velvet aka: crushed pannee for the fabric. For the shoes, I used foam glued end to end. Just two pieces, its fully open at the bottom so you can slip it over any shoes. The gloves I used fleece, and foam on the inside. I don't recommend that method for the gloves. For a better cartoony look for the gloves, please refer to: [link]

Thanks! I'd love to see your comic when it's done! Will you be coming up to Nekocon this year?

Thanks, this will help a whole lot. And as for going to Nekocon.... idk if school will get in the way or not. I being a senior going out of high school and into college and going to Pembroke, NC.... I think the trip would cost too much. By the way, how do people react to original costumes, because I have my own.

They don't much care for original costumes. Somewhere like a fantasty or comic convention they may be more receptive to it, but unless they recognize the character, or unless its super detailed and awesome, a lot of people don't notice AS much, depending on the costume.

If I may, can I share with you a link of my costume? (Actually it's in my gallery in my cosplay folder).
