Past History

Hometown: Somewhere in Germany
Describe their childhood: He never brings up his past history.
Backstory: In his younger days, Faustus dappled in advanced sciences for his time. He was obsessed with permanence and immortality only to live longer to perfect his sciences. It was an ideal he’d later think was immature, but wouldn’t fully regret. Faustus didn’t approve of using people as his subjects, and so often experimented on himself, leading to his accidental discovery of eternal youth; a sort of immortality with a physical limit. He devoted himself to his sciences, quickly becoming a renown doctor in his small town, feeding his ego with the thought of ‘helping others.’

Every day when he made his rounds to different houses, he would run into the town’s leprous orphan, (who would later be named Ghost). Being a germaphobe, Faustus was repulsed by the child, and would do much to avoid him. Word reached the boy about Faustus’ renown, and so every day the boy would stop Faustus and ask if the doctor could heal him. Faustus, not wanting to be bothered by the boy, promised him day after day he would heal the boy, though not having the capability to do as such. Still, he provided the boy with placebos if only to get him to leave him alone, so he could carry on with his business. One day he finds the boy dying, miserably still clinging to the belie that Faustus will cure him. When he saw the boy’s pitiful shape, his life turned around. He immediately took the boy into his own home in an attempt to save his life. He locked himself away from the town, trying everything he could do to save the boy, and yet even with all of his medicines and skills, the boy died within a week. By this point Faustus had become so obsessed that he devoted his life to save the boy. The town heard nothing from the doctor for months, as Faustus stayed locked up desperately trying to revive the dead and rotting boy, finally resorting to ancient and questionable methods, using rare dragon parts, Faustus managed to not only revive the boy, but stop the rotting by incorporating dragon elements. In his rushed attempt however, he didn’t foresee the dragon elements taking over the boy’s genetics. Ghost would become his life long project, as Faustus left his reputable job to devote himself to making sure Ghost would live an immortal, healthy and protected life. It became an obsession, and Faustus quickly became engrossed in perfecting the boy, which led to the boy’s sheltered and awkward life.

During WWII, Faustus was still not too into seclusion to miss what was happening in his country, and fled before they could kick him out because he disagreed with the morals, or lack there of, of the other Nazi scientists. Shortly there after, he secluded himself and his boy from the world, devoting his time to Ghost.

Intellectual/Mental/Personality Attributes and Attitudes

Intelligence Level: Genius
Character's long-term goals/desires in life: Perfect Ghost, so that he is ultimately immortal, invincible, and impervious to everything.
Character's short-term goals/desires in life: Trying to get Ghost to fit into school without being affected by things Tierlynn doesn’t believe in.
How self-confident is the character? Quite.
Is this character generally dominant or submissive? Submissive
Does the character seem ruled by emotion or logic or some combination thereof? Logic, of course, unless it comes to his son, then he usually is won over by the puppy-dog look. Or when Ghost cries, because Ghost doesn’t emote much since his first life.
Most at ease when: He’s alone in his lab with Ghost.
Ill at ease when: He doesn’t know where Ghost is.
Describe their sense of humor: He is lighthearted, and yet serious about his sciences. Because of his over-logical thinking, he tends to kill a lot of jokes, or not find them funny because he thinks too logically.
Character/Personality/Mental/Social Strengths: He’s intelligent, articulate, and professional. He is kind and generally patient and loving, at least to Ghost. Only to Ghost.
Character/Personality/Mental/Social Flaws: He is socially awkward. He’s fine speaking in front of a whole science convention, but when people approach him individually, he comes off as blunt, and very deadpan. He can seem emotionless when he talks about his sciences. He almost seems two sided, as he can be deadpan, and yet overly OVERLY emotional. He is a crybaby when it comes to his boy, and gets very emotional over “family” matters. He cries at the drop of a pin when it comes to Ghost. He is too attached to his boy to the point where he never wants Ghost to leave.
Biggest Vulnerability (non physical): Ghost. If any one insults Ghost, talks about Ghost negatively, looks at him wrong, or anything, Tierlynn takes it personally. Too personally. Overprotective to be sure.
Optimist or Pessimist: Optimist
Introvert or extrovert: Introvert
Greatest Fear: Losing his boy again.
Other Fears/Insecurities/Phobias: Mysophobic (germaphobe); fears his own death; people stealing his sciences; science used to do evil; Ghost ever leaving him. He’s also a homophobe, not that he’s afraid of them, but that he’s repulsed, and loathsome of them because he simply can’t understand the scientifically significance.
Peculiarities: People find his relationship with Ghost quite peculiar; how he treats him so much like a mother would treat their baby boy, and yet treats him like a science project. He’s very casual about the things he does to Ghost during his experimentational work.
Secret desires: To break up Leo and Ghost.
Character's darkest secret: Ghost’s past history. He worked hard to protect it from Ghost, which was easy in the earlier years before Ghost had really seen the outside world. Since Ghost had amnesia since his mortal death, he had no recollection of a life before then. Growing up to be very logical, Ghost never questioned prior existence or anything
existential, and Tierlynn made sure of it.
Other secrets: He has a serum to shut down Ghost (not kill him, but sort of turn him off momentarily) in case anything ever went wrong. Though he hates the thought of it, and would never let Ghost know because he never wants to treat, or THINK of treating Ghost like a monster.

Relationships with others

Relationship Skills: Poor
Loves: Ghost
Lusts: none.
Crushes: none.
Lover(s): none.
Best Friends: none.
Friends: Few. Sorta Farthington, because of his mechanical genius, and his family’s fame. And a few people at his residence now.
Hates: none.
Dislikes: Father Amadeo (the avid Catholic priest, who frequents the school Ghost attends) Roger (Galileo‘s dad), and Galileo at first, but has begun to like Leo because Ghost likes him so much, and so now he treats Leo like an adopted child. Though he still doesn’t support a relationship beyond friendship between his son and Leo.
Rivals: Boris Heidrich, a fellow scientist prior to WWII. They worked close together with their advanced sciences, but as the country began to unite politically, there was a rift between their friendship. Tierlynn loathed Borris’ unethical ideals for his sciences.
Sexuality: Straight straight straight as an arrow.
What kind of person would s/he consider to be the perfect mate? No one because he is sterile, and so there would be no reason for a mate.
What type of people does s/he like or associate with? Few. Only scientists whom he can mooch ideas off of, or information from. He is pretty known in the science world and so associates with the higher ups at conventions.
What type of people doesn’t s/he like or associate with? Immoral, immature, emotional thinkers, artists, homosexuals, sexual deviants of any kind really

Likes: Flowers and plants, biology, any science really
Dislikes: Anything metaphorical or anything that can’t be proven with science. He greatly dislikes magic. He loathes religion. He’s not too fond of animals other than to study them. Uncleanliness, foul language, etc. He absolutely hates anyone calling his boy anything less than human. Ie: Frankenstein, or monster, or beast, etc. He won’t allow Ghost to even READ Frankenstein because the subject matter disturbs him.
Simple Pleasures: reading, cooking, flower arrangement, cleaning
Greater Pleasures: Watching Ghost grow up to be a whiz in science, bettering many of the older gents at the conventions.
Motto/Personal quote: Science is a selfish endeavor. You can try to convince yourself that you’re doing it for a better cause, but in the end you service your own ambitions.
Most prized possession: Ghost
Why? He considers him a possession and a son, oddly enough.

Emotional Characteristics

Describe character's sense of morals: He has his own sense of morals. He thinks himself to be ethical, and usually is, though what he is doing with Ghost seems rather questionable.
Describe character's etiquette: He doesn’t try to be rude, though he comes off as blunt and tactless.
How does the character view life? Well, he views death as a thing for stupid people who don’t know how to avoid it. Survival of the fittest, or at least of the smartest.

Spiritual Characteristics

Religion: Athiest
Does the character believe in a god or goddess? Heck no.
What are the character's spiritual beliefs? He believes if it can’t be proven scientifically, it isn’t true.
Is religion or spirituality a part of this character's life? Sort of
If so, what role does it play? He hates it.
Superstitions: None.

If this character were an animal, what would they be? A Doe
Why? Because doe stick with their young, and Tierlynn is quite motherly, and never wants to leave Ghost. He’s also feminine, gentle, graceful, and pretty.
If this character were to be characterized by an object, what would it be? A science book. With a pretty cover.
Why? Cuz. Yeah.
What song best fits this character? “Life, Life” from Young Frankenstein (broadway ed)
If you could compare this character to an existing character, who would s/he be and why? Totally Goofy, but only in A Goofy Movie because that’s totally how he is. Just an overly motherly dad who doesn’t understand Ghost as he goes into public school and starts having emotions, and just wants to protect him from the world and spend time with him. Totally.
If you could choose a voice actor / actor for your character, who would it be? Roger Bart, but slightly less harsh. But totally that tone and pitch of voice.
In short: Tierlynn is a Dr. Frankenstein type, who creates a boy whom he becomes overly protective and obsessive over perfecting, to make him immortal and invincible. Tierlynn is like a super-mom. lol

Huh. I thought the boy who would become Ghost was supposed to be run over by a car. Ah well, it's changed.
Why would dragon parts help?

XD haha good memory! Ja, he was originally hit by a car or something, but we never decided on that fully. Cuz we sorta were vague about it for a while. We finally sat down and decided their story XD
