Social media can be draining, especially on artists and creators. Often times we get suckered into equating the amount of faves/likes/notes we receive on our art, to the value of the art itself, though we would never admit that. "I draw for myself, no one else." "I don't care about the likes." But when it really boils down to it, who among us can honestly admit it doesn't sting a little when a frivolous fanart piece gets a million faves, and the one piece we poured our sole into gets barely a quarter of the same attention?
I would like to discuss why that is and ways to avoid the blackhole that consumes so many artist's creativity, self-este
